Glenda has taught other attorneys legal ethics, license suspensions law and teaches Juvenile Justice Reforms/Violence to community groups. In addition, she receives dozens of referrals from the NAACP. Glenda is in many organizations and a member of Zion Global Ministries (ZGM), West Chester Township, Ohio. In 2009, she started a youth Bible study in Bond Hill, Ohio with the support of ZGM which concluded in May 2017. With the help of volunteers, children were fed physically, spiritually and mentally.

Glenda was a continual guest of host, Senovia Byndon, on 88.3 FM, “I Hear You”, voice for youth, the civil rights and homeless segment. Glenda A. Smith has been politically active in the Hamilton and Butler County Democrat Parties. Glenda served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Butler County Democratic party, Chair of Butler County Bar Association Judicial Rating Committee, and Women’s Lawyers Club. Glenda opened up two campaign offices for Barack Obama when he ran for President and worked on a myriad of other campaigns.

In 2020, Glenda founded the Glenda A. Smith Youth Sanctuary whose mission is to bring nonprofits, governments and private businesses together to provide resources to children and families to maximize their potential. Glenda A. Smith Sanctuary has done exactly that by hosting a weekly zoom youth discussion series, distributing free gift cards for food, gasoline, clothing, etc. and raising money to build a residential facility for homeless youth.
